Building, promoting, and managing your online business takes an incredible amount of time. It also takes time to learn the multitude of programs and tools that are out there to help you run your business.
What? You mean it's not all yoga in the morning and lunch with friends? But I started my own business to have more time, more freedom...
Yes, you did.
And, as a holistic entrepreneur or coach — whether working in the health, wellness, personal development, education, or creative fields — you also started your business because you felt the calling of your soul to make a positive difference and to be of service.
To use your gifts of healing, artistry, spirituality, and creativity to find solutions to the challenges that we're facing in the world today.
But just how many hats are you wearing?
You have a full plate. You’re drowning in details and wearing multiple hats, most of which don't fit you — customer support, social media manager, marketing director, graphic designer, website manager, content creator…
Doing All-The-Things-All-The-Time has left you feeling overwhelmed, scattered. You spend your days (and often your nights!) Googling your way to success, jumping from one task to the next and not gaining any traction. You just don’t have the personal bandwidth to keep up the plate spinning and juggling act any longer.
And, you know what?
You don’t have to.
We all need help.
Snow White had the Seven Dwarfs.
Peter Pan had Tinkerbelle.
Han Solo had Chewbacca.
Lucy had Ethel
…and you’ve got me.
Ahhhhh. Deep inhale. Breathe.
Ready to take the “solo” out of solopreneur?
Hi! I'm Teres Sainte-Marie.
Yeah, I know, fabulous stage name, right? I really should be in lights on Broadway. Let me help you out with the pronunciation: Teres rhymes with Paris. Saint Marie (no halo).
After climbing to the top of the ladder into the realm of corporate marketing communications, I was overworked, stressed, and quickly approaching burn-out. Not only that, but I realized I had my ladder leaning against the wrong wall. Exit, stage left.
In fact, I found I wasn’t so interested in climbing after all. And so, I wandered (it’s the Hungarian gypsy in my blood!) from the corporate jungle to the Amazon jungle. I crisscrossed the map, living with indigenous shamans, apprenticing with Native American medicine men, soaking up the beauty of the natural world while dancing between the seen and unseen worlds.
As so often happens when one embarks on an adventure of spirit, this nomad eventually found herself a decade later right back where she started — geographically speaking — yet richly blessed and forever changed.
Armed with all of the knowledge, ancient wisdom, and modern insight I’d gained on my soulful journey, I was resolved to stay out of the cubicle and create a career that allowed for flexibility and freedom.
Ah, the best laid plans… well, I did manage to stay out of the cubicle. Points for that.
I launched a production company and became a presenter of multi-cultural workshops and ceremony at holistic learning centers nationwide.
And then, I launched a travel company for women, specializing in spiritual journeys to sacred sites.
AND THEN, an opportunity presented itself to plan, develop, and operate a retreat center in a beautiful and natural setting. A chance to combine my knowledge of the wellness + personal growth industry with my passion for sharing the healing practices and wisdom teachings of the indigenous elders, coupled with my marketing communications savvy. A dream come true.
Soooo, okay… I’m a bit of an overachiever. Serial entrepreneur. Multi-passionate. Gemini. Need I say more?
Launching and running three businesses in the span of six years was beyond crazy-making. And I loved every minute of it. Mostly. But — big BUT — I was fried. Burnt to a crisp.
In those days of juggling, plate spinning, and biz fire-fighting, I remember the frustration and the feelings — feeling overstretched, overcommitted, and overwhelmed — waking up at 3:00 a.m. with a million and one things rattling around in my head and no chance of getting back to sleep.
Raise your hand if you can relate.
Bitten by the entrepreneurial bug at a young age, even then I knew the value of an assistant... or two.
Helping you help others.
Keep your hand raised if you’re ready to say good riddance to overwhelm and frustration.
Look, you have a BIG mission to share your soul’s calling. How ‘bout some help?
I see your business as a spiritual tool to bring blessings to the world.
I know first hand the joy and challenge of creating a business that supports you, your mission, and your clients. I can leverage that experience along with my digital marketing, creative, and technical savvy to help you generate greater brand awareness, increase your website traffic, and convert strangers into your tribe.
But what I’d really like is to free up your time so that you can focus your energy on the things that only YOU can do to impact and improve people’s lives. After all, it’s why you're here.
Let’s get you back to the business of helping others.
